Turbo Prop Conditioner Controls

Recommended Posts

Can someone tell me how to bind the Mixture controls on the CH Throttle Quad to the Conditioner Controls on turbo prop planes like the King Air? I have searched and search in the sim for the proper wording to use when searching for and setting them up, but no joy.

Thanks

Unfortunately, this cannot be done after the SU6 Update.  They changed the behaivor of Condition levers to be discrete detents for cutoff, low idle and high idle.  They forgot to add an event for binding keys, buttons or axis to the new condition lever input, so only mouse clicks work at this time.

Pre-SU6, I set the condition lever of the Milviz Pilatus Porter on the Warthog Throttle slider lever bound to Mixture Axis (-100 to  100%), checking Reverse axis. Full forward is High Idle, the middle detent is Low Idle and the Full Rearward is Cut Off.

Still works OK post-SU6.

The lever still works from the hardware side, it just doesn't move in the sim, at least for the Caravan.  Also, moving it in the sim with the mouse seems only visual as it does nothing, have to use the hardware lever.

For the Porter, my solution above moves the lever in the cockpit and sound and torque are affected.

I have that setting mapped, and I just confirmed, it does indeed work in the Porter but not the caravan for some reason.

But what is it called in the sim? I know it is the conditioner lever, but I can't find it searching to bind my mixture lever to it.

Thanks

The axis names are based off piston engines iirc, so it will be "mixture" and "propeller" axis, I don't think it's referred to as condition.

No it is not,  its one of the incomprehensible flaw of the sim. It looks like they didn't know that a turbo engine was controlled by a three-way switch called a lever. And still after 14 months. Fortunately, using the mixture control axis can overcome the lack of condition lever parameter, at least on some aircraft.
