October 28, 20214 yr After chilling in Chile for a week at Puerto Murta (SCRU) hosing around with local bush flights, it was time to depart for parts further south to see if we could find the elusive Flamigos that are marked on the map as a fauna POI n MSFS near Chochrane. So off we go once again in the Milvis Turbo Porter!, Now that the NXi works in it I can finally see what all the hootin' and hollerin' is about with it. It's nice to enjoy a cockpit that has such fine accouterments... Cochrane is just down this valley below, behind a small ridge. Didn't get any approach pictures because I was busy playing around with the BETA mode on descent... After landing at SCHR it was time to take a helicopter over to the nearby lake where there's a Fauna POI marked on the map where there are supposed to be Flamingos. We landed on a little island in the lake right where the Flamingos are supposed to be, but got skunked! Looks like it's canned sardines for dinner instead... So it was time to set out again, this time to haul some NeoFly cargo down to SCEY Aerodromo Entrada Mayer,,, seems while we were away hunting Flamingos, someone painted our aeroplane! Look like we may encounter more interesting weather on this run... Definitely getting colder outside... October 29, 20214 yr A lovely showcase for the pointed nose one ! I couldn’t find the birds either and yesterday I couldn’t find the hippos near Lusaka. Are these elusive animals some kind of urban legend or what 😄? Are athethese elusive animals some kind of urban legend or what Yeah I'm starting to wonder what could be wrong since I have the Fauna option cranked up all the way. Hope it's not poachers! There are a couple of other fauna POI spots within flying range of where my last flight left off so I'm not giving up yet. Although why there would be Flamingos in such frigid country is beyond me. I always thought they were more or less tropical with those skinny legs. There should be penguins around here instead! "That's what" - She
