Windows 11 Experience after upgrade

Recommended Posts

I have just upgraded to Windows 11 Home after it was made available to me through Windows Update. Build is 22000.282

Overall, I have had no performance problems using Xplane on my PC running Ryzen 7 3700x (16GM Ram), AMD Radeon RX 5700XT (8GB VRAM).

My one major glitch is that my backup software no longer works (based on a Windows 2003 server) due to security protocols no longer supported.

Other than that, my pain is adapting to the new taskbar layouts and menu choices.

I would not recommend upgrading to Win11 unless you are willing to invest in the learning curve which was higher than I expected. All my installed applications except as above were unaffected.

Regards, Rick

I've had it now a few weeks.  All in all I'm fine with it.  I did the mod to restore the context menu's to how they were in Win 10.  I see no reason to not keep windows 11.
