November 28, 20214 yr Haha I agree with the customer service... But there's hundreds of "likes" on their FB pages/posts. They have over 20k "likes" on their page - the highest of any flightsim developers. So while us niche of a niche consumers become grumpy when they don't fix basic things, I think they don't really care. Although I do know they took extra time with the c337 due to SU6/7. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
November 28, 20214 yr Carenado is such an enigma in the simming world. We love their visual models, hate their support model (I know...some claim they have none). We see this topic pop up all the time, and it always seems to end in the same way. Everyone agreeing that they have beautiful models, lite on the systems, but "generally" pleasant to fly. Everyone agreeing that they have no support model and don't care about our concerns with existing releases, only seeming to focus on the next new, shiny model that will bring: Oooohs Ahhhs Cash Proclamations that we'll not buy another Carenado product until they start actively and openly supporting the existing stuff. Mods eventually locking the topic as it goes off the rails concerning the support topic. I've really given up on seeing an active support channel, with collaboration with the legends that made the previous platform's editions far better than Carenado ever intended. I'm firmly committed to sub-bullet 4 on #2 on the list above, and until things change, that is where I'll stay. 🙂 Had the 337 in P3D...won't have it in MSFS with the vendor in its current state. @Bobsk8, I fully agree that if Carenado ever participated here, a separate sub-forum would be nice. The MSFS tag method works fine too...but in this "Its too hard for me to think about how to do something new....do it for me" world we live in today, I can understand the resistance from this type of entitled simmer 🙄 I tend to ignore those types. November 28, 20214 yr I used to drop some cash on Carenado during FSX days. No more. And not to bash them for their decision to limit open communication, it’s just not my type of sim model. Pretty to look at.... not much for FDs and that realistic feeling. And sometimes, buttons that just don’t work. All with zero support. Someone here said long ago a phrase that accurately depicted their past....they are the puppy mill of flightsim development. On the flip side, every MSFS update has a good chance of breaking a function on a piece of payware. If I were a developer, I’d have serious concerns about this. I might be ‘fixing’ a product for years. That’s an expense that creates minimal revenue. Perhaps Carenado are slowing down because of this.

The constant "break this" for every SU is makes devs weary. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
November 29, 20214 yr Well, if they are "going downhill" with their support and new products, I hope someone like Just Flight or Milviz will step into the GA market that Carenado once held and release some great quality singles, twins and turboprops.
