FlyTampa Offers Details On Upcoming Amsterdam v2

Featured Replies

From Flightsim.com

Im looking very much forward to this V2

Over on their forum, FlyTampa have provided details on their upcoming scenery of Amsterdam v2. The initial release will be for P3D, with the prospect of other platforms following suite.

Features included in v2:

  • New PBR ground model
  • PBR materials of the airport
  • New static models
  • SODE jetways and VDGS
  • New de-icing tower
  • SODE windsocks

And much more...

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, known informally as Schiphol Airport, is the main international airport of the Netherlands. It is located 9 kilometres southwest of Amsterdam, in the municipality of Haarlemmermeer in the province of North Holland.

Amsterdam v2 is nearly complete. There have been massive changes across the whole airport-the most important ones shown in the map. P3D release is first in line.

What I would like to know is.....does it have full compatibility with ORBx TrueEarth Netherlands straight out of the gate?

That's a great point.

I'd very much like it if we could use the FT Configurator to select a pre-determined profile which excludes the conflicts with Orbx's TE NED.
Though I'm sure someone will point out that doing so would mean altering another developer's product and instead we'll end up with the usual faff of locating and appending .OFF to numerous files and in various folders as usual when it comes to P3D products.

Will be happy to be proved wrong!

Been looking forward to this one, will be nice to have EHAM at the level of quality they've been offering in more recent years.

I didnt see on the latest airport map from FT, but I thought the double taxiway on Q would have been incorporated into v2 but from the map I dont see it- just the single taxiway is visible.

I know RW EHAM are busy working on construction of the double taxiway on Q running over the A4 motorway but not sure if that's finished now.

This was also the location of the "FT bridge issue" where unless you were passing over the A4 at snails pace speed in the sim, your aircraft fell temporarily into a ravine as you entered the W taxiways for line up on 36C.Luckily you were able to recover from this, but a few passengers in First Class did complain of spilling their champagne.🙄

Hopefully this has been finally remedied in v2.

Cheers,

The airport bridges issue has been fixed since the last P3D hotfix. It was a P3D issue and the LM team resolved it.

I would very much like to see a remake or a face lift for cyyz.

It’s visually very nice even now, snag is, that at it current state it serves as a hardware torture test and would struggle to pull more than 20 fps on the latest cpu/ gpu combo
