November 14, 20214 yr The Linker tool, Can we use it with Alpha India, Traffic? What about using some of the Liveries and not all? Is that possible! Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
November 14, 20214 yr Linker should work. I use symlink to share it with my MS Store install and it works fine. You can't choose what liveries to install, when you install an airline you get all the liveries that the airline has. Do we really need a dozen topic on this addon? Just ask in the general thread.. or ask on AIG forums. Edited November 14, 20214 yr by Tuskin38

IMHO putting all the questions/issues in a single topic causes that one topic to run incredibly long and thus soon begins to get overlooked as many do not have the time to read though pages and pages of posts. It creates proverbial "needles-in-the-haystack". That even appears to in-and-of-itself create the need for additional topics. November 14, 20214 yr Not sure which way is the best. But can you just point the path in AI Manager to the path that your MSFS Addons Linker is set to? For example I made a directory on D:\Community Addons\ this is where I keep all my addons. So could I just point AI Manager to that path for it to install the repaints (liveries), models, etc? So instead of it pointing at the default location in this pic Change it to where you store your addons in MSFS Addons linker. For me I'd use D:\Community Addons\aig-aitraffic-oci-beta This way, whenever I run AI Manager to update my flight plans it will do it directly into that location. I notice you can click on 'Move Directory'. That will probably allow you to relocate the 'aig-aitraffic-oci-beta' folder to your location of choice. November 14, 20214 yr Author I think in you case it would be like this... D:\Community Addons\aig-aitraffic-oci-beta for e.g. and then within that simobjects\Airplanes\AIGAIM_FAIB_A320-200/-CFM\Model ..... Select or unselects the ones you don't need? Its tedious work but once done, You save your Selections. I think. This is the way to do. 🙂 Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
November 14, 20214 yr Author No that wouldn't work! The subsequent folders are not visible. It works but its whether you want to add on or not! the entire thing/ Edited November 14, 20214 yr by Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
November 14, 20214 yr AIG doesn't want to know where you put the 'aig-aitraffic-oci-beta' folder, it only wants to know where your MSFS community folder is because thats the programs installion location, and that is the only path you should ever put in the program. It can't be moved using that link in the program either, try it. However you can subsequently move the 'aig-aitraffic-oci-beta' folder wherever your addons folder is and link to it using addon linker. That does work, and when you install new flights in the AIG program they automatically all go to the new location due to addon link. Edited November 14, 20214 yr by desbean

Especially if it speeds up the program loading. Edited November 14, 20214 yr by desbean
November 15, 20214 yr I pointed the Traffic controller to my community folder M:\MSFS\Community\aig-aitraffic-oci-beta Actually this is a link (if it's set by the linker). I placed all the generated AIG stuff in my addons folder under M:\MSFS Addons\AIG Traffic This has been working fine so far. This way I can activate/deactivate AIG traffic case by case. Alternatively, I am free to use another AI program like Simple Traffic which I am going to buy and check out tomorrow. I have not been interested in deselecting individual airlines so far. November 15, 20214 yr Okay can you guys help me then. I have the MS store version of MSFS, and currently my aig-aitraffic-oci-beta is located here in the AI manager: My MSFS Addons Linker directory is located 'D:\Community Addons' Folder, what should I do if I want to use AIG with Addons Linker? I'm not sure if I should copy my entire aig-aitraffic-oci-beta folder to 'D:\Community Addons'? But then wouldn't I have 2 copies of that folder meaning I am taking up twice the amount of space? Move the folder to your Addon Linker folder, don't copy it. Then link it with Addon Linker. Not sure what you have where. In AIG you show your path to the community folder as being in C-drive, but the path you have in the linker says its in D-drive.
November 15, 20214 yr I think the most logical way to limit what airines are in-sim would be via AIG's interface, and I don't think it has that capability is in there right now. I too use Addon Linker... ...but I think to use AddonLinker to only load certain airlines would be problematic right now. AIG currently looks for "aig-aitraffic-oci-beta" (or whatever folder you specify) and in its config it seems to only be able to look for that one (1) folder that you specify. It does not appear to be able to look for "aig-aitraffic-oci-beta-europe" or "aig-aitraffic-oci-beta-northam" which is what you might logically set up if you wanted to limit SimObjects by continent, for example. Anyway, I assume the above is how it goes but that was just a random thought that rattled around in my head, regarding AIG. I haven't tested load times vs. number of SimObject folders. It seems to not be that big a deal to me, as I usually do other things while the sim is loading up, but it could be important if a person has all or nearly all of the AI packages installed. I currently only have about half of them installed. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
