Am not sure I understand why I would use this. People report 3-6 FPS increase! But image is less sharpe. Whats the point in that?

I read on the MSFS forums some are reporting this driver has stoped pixelation in cloulds. So that would be great if true. I will test tonight.

Open minded at this point, Drivers are installed. Power set to prefer max performance and MSFS AA gamma corection set to off.

So just another scaling slider. There's no way I'd give up a crisp image for a few measly frames.

Seems that way to me.

But it also seems to brings some good things with DLSS

But is MSFS really a fullscreen game? I thought it was a borderless game, so does this really work?

I have installed the new driver, turned on image scaling with 50 percent sharpening.  Looks Good at 85 percent scaling.

What resolution do you use in the game for your 3440x1440 monitor?

Scaling is greyed out for me in NVP for MSFS so I had to enable it in global settings, and image degradation was very noticeable in Windows, but I have not checked in the game yet as I have no idea what resolution I should choose for my 3440X1440 monitor, all the choices I tested does not look right.

Btw: Whats the difference between the downscaling in MSF compared to the one of Nvidia?

Exactly. In my mind this is the same as turning down the render scale. Only difference is that now I can use this if I wanted in games that don’t have this feature built in. Like P3D.

It can be fullscreen, borderless or windowed, that shouldn't affect many settings in nVidia (some may say requires Fullscreen for example).

Seems like another driver-related much ado about nothing.  Image quality is excellent in MSFS already for me in fact has never been better.

I disagree. It's another option for people who perhaps have less powerful PCs to gain a little bit of additional performance. It's not all about MSFS (which I acknowledge you didn't say).
