November 22, 20214 yr We know PMDG announced that the DC-6 will be coming to Xbox consoles, but does anybody know if the 737 for example will be arriving on Xbox consoles too?

Yes. PMDG says they want all of their aircraft to release to xbox. it's part of the appeal to be developing for MSFS. https://fsprocedures.com Your home for all flight simulator related checklist.
November 22, 20214 yr I find it hard to believe that Xbox will have the performance needed to run a complex aircraft like PMDG 737, but I could be wrong. System: I ASRock X670E | AMD 7800X3D | 64Gb DDR5 6000 | RTX 4090 | 2TB NVMe | Seasonic Vertex 1000W I LG Ultra Gear 34 UW I

It actually better than the average PC. It's a Ryzen 2000 series CPU with a RTX 2070 equivalent. It run MSFS at 4K30 already. https://fsprocedures.com Your home for all flight simulator related checklist.

Yes but the performance began to collapse as you charged complex products. I tested for you. As much as we can say, it is still a game console and it remains very limited for simulations. So... Don't forget that an APU configuration and fixed hardware offers advantages compare to a PC. It's a lot easier to optimized when the hardware configuration is the same. The Series X is quite powerful PC and I don't believe there is any limitation for the PMDG product. The proof is in the pudding as the DC-6 is releasing on Xbox and it's exactly the same as the PC version. You would be very surprised of how much the Series X can handle. (Same goes for the PS5). It's not your last generation consoles. This generation, they learned from their mistake and put a significantly better cpu in it https://fsprocedures.com Your home for all flight simulator related checklist.
November 22, 20214 yr And console loadings times are insanely quicker than pc too. I wish the pc version loaded as quick as the Xbox version!

Thanks so much been looking for this answer. Where did he say this? And how will it be possible? with all the external software and coding needed 🤔

November 23, 20214 yr The Series X runs MSFS so well. Contrary to some posts above it is ideally suited to flight sims as the code can be so highly optimized for it. Also it is so good not have to spend half your life updating drivers and optimizing the graphics settings. On the XBOX the ONLY graphics setting is HDR yes/no. That is it. Flying is stunning and so smooth. I would advise anyway even slightly fed up with the PC version to consider buying an XBOX. If they had bought MSFS through the MS store they don't even need to buy it again! CJ
November 23, 20214 yr I have been extremely impressed with my Xbox Series S. Not just in its ability to run Flight Simulator but as a device in general. For such a tiny and neat little box under the TV the performance and graphics quality is insane, and Game Pass has opened me up to loads more incredible titles I probably wouldn't have tried before like the Forza Horizon series. I can't recommend highly enough. I knew the DC6 would be possible on consoles due to no digital displays requiring external software but wasn’t too sure about other planes. last week I watched the Q&A and couldn’t find where he said this. Do you have a timestamp please?
