How do you make an airport with the FSX SDK (runway, taxiwys, flatten terrain, remove existing scenery)? Any help would be much appreciated.:-hmmm

The thing is, you can do it but if you are new to it, better forget it. I used to do it for FS9 and i'm having a haaarrrddd time trying to understand how to do it nicely in FSX. We don't have the tools yet, better wait until AFCAD for FSX and other tools come out. That's my opinion.

It has never been easier to make modifications to scenery. There are many easy to use tools, and most techniques for FS 9 will work in FS X.To start, please see Terrain Design for Flight Simulator X :http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fsxsd&DLID=100997where you will learn how to change the ground and modify flattens.AFCAD by Lee Swordy (also in the Avsim library) will create usable airport runways, taxiways, and aprons, although you must have FS 9 in order to use it.And you can very easily place all manner of objects using the Object Placement Tool that is part of FS X Deluxe Edition - look for Make Scenery with the Object Placement Tool:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?&DLID=96257It is extremely easy to make new airports and better scenery.
