I found the reply to be quite amusing, if rather caustic.

New drivers tend to be heralded on here by some as giving performance increases equivalent to a GPU upgrade.

I hear that once Nvidia releases the 500.00 series driver next memorial weekend it will give a full 20% increase in performance, but only if you live in Indianapolis.

As someone from the Netherlands I do not fully understand that. Something to do with indy 500 (Arie Luyendijk  😉) I presume?

I often see both AMD and Nvidia release security updates in the driver software but simmers don`t need them they never Fly connected to the net.

I'm using this with no issues in P3D v5.3, MSFS, and XP11.  No issues, no CTD's no artifacts.  Same FPS from the last previous 3 suites, so no take away's there. Is it better? I dunno...but no worse...

My post was in reference to "but simmers don`t need them they never Fly connected to the net." Without being connected, one can't get real time weather updates. AS is working fine for me.
