December 1, 20214 yr I'm pondering about buying this newly released SBRJ MSFS scenery https://secure.simmarket.com/paulo-ricardo-santos-dumont-airport-(sdu)-rio-de-janeiro-city-(de_15904).phtml The airport looks great and I think Paulo Ricardo has a good reputation in the community. Here are some questions, notably to early customers from the perspective of a VFR pilot: - Does the package include city POIs? From the (many) screenshots I get the impression that's the case. - Does it work with the Rio Scenery by MSScenery available from Simmarket, too? - Any other remarks / suggestions? Thanks a lot and kind regards, Michael Intel i7-13700K / AsRock Z790 / Crucial 32 GB DDR 5 / ASUS RTX 4080OC 16GB / BeQuiet ATX 1000W / WD m.2 NVMe 2TB (System) / WD m.2 NVMe 4 TB (MSFS) / WD HDD 10 TB / XTOP+Saitek hardware panel / LG 34UM95 3440 x 1440 / HP Reverb 1 (2160x2160 per eye) / Win 11
December 1, 20214 yr Sorry I am unable to answer your questions, but am thrilled to see he is making scenery for msfs. I love everything his has done for P3d. Orman
December 1, 20214 yr His site seems to show quite a few custom POIs Paulo Ricardo (pauloricardofs.blogspot.com) But good questions - perhaps you can shoot him a note, Michael.

December 1, 20214 yr I got it, but don't have the MSScenery Rio package. The airport itself is great. There seems to be 2d trees around the mountain though. Not sure why. Paulo does excellent work. December 1, 20214 yr Author Mail to Ricardo sent, I'll report back. Thanks to @Baptista for the address. December 1, 20214 yr Author Just got an answer, within an hour! "Yes there are custom LandMarks as a Stadiuns, buidings city, bridge, etc." I think I'm going to buy it. Hope he'll add more MSFS sceneries. Kind regards, Michael Intel i7-13700K / AsRock Z790 / Crucial 32 GB DDR 5 / ASUS RTX 4080OC 16GB / BeQuiet ATX 1000W / WD m.2 NVMe 2TB (System) / WD m.2 NVMe 4 TB (MSFS) / WD HDD 10 TB / XTOP+Saitek hardware panel / LG 34UM95 3440 x 1440 / HP Reverb 1 (2160x2160 per eye) / Win 11
December 1, 20214 yr Wow that looks a must buy scenery! Thank you for sharing this Michael! I am also going to pull the trigger and buy this one. AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p display
December 1, 20214 yr I just picked it up. I already had the Tropical sim version. But this is much better for the same price. It's pretty awesome and the landmarks are great because you can do the crazy approaches and see almost every building land mark you would see in real life. Lots of work went into this one. I'm pretty good at flight simulator, I never wonder if I will nail the landing but all the approaches are difficult at Santos Dumont. I think this scenery makes it easier to land for both the 02L visual along the bridge and the crazy circle to land for 20R. It all feels and looks more realistic.
December 2, 20214 yr Paulo Ricardo as been making wonderful works since FSX, this pic conquered me, going to buy also! Marques Ryzen 7 [email protected] | Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360| RTX 4070 ti | 32GB Ram @5600MHZ| Crucial MX 200 M.2 500GB |Crucial MX200 SATA 500GB | HTC Vive | XIAOMI 43" 4k TV | Acer Predator 27" G-Sync | AOC 32" Freesync
December 2, 20214 yr Author Bought it and love it. It's a feast for the eyes, not only the airport but the city, too. And the best of all is the great performance. I get >25 fps totally fluid under VR (which is quite good given my hardware) and 35-40 fps on the 2D screen, despite the dense buildings and stuff. Now I'll have to find a few places to fly to (I'm a total stranger in the area) but I'm positive Flightsim.to will help me. I already bought MSScenery ages ago but uninstalled it, I can't imagine them both to cooperate. Thanks for all the nice replies and kind regards, Michael Edited December 2, 20214 yr by pmb Intel i7-13700K / AsRock Z790 / Crucial 32 GB DDR 5 / ASUS RTX 4080OC 16GB / BeQuiet ATX 1000W / WD m.2 NVMe 2TB (System) / WD m.2 NVMe 4 TB (MSFS) / WD HDD 10 TB / XTOP+Saitek hardware panel / LG 34UM95 3440 x 1440 / HP Reverb 1 (2160x2160 per eye) / Win 11
December 2, 20214 yr I bought this too-and it's worth the €16.99! Jetways look nice but seem to be static. FPS-I'm getting around 26.
