Ohh yeah and the band played believe it if you like. Oh and according to the (long) thread about it over at MSFS forums, they may have acknowledged it once, but they seem mistaken about what is causing it/and how to fix it. This would be the first FSX/ESP-based Flightsim ever fixing that issue. I only believe it after having seen it with my own eyes on my own machine. I don't say Asobo are incompetent, but it seems to be deeply hidden at the base of the terrain engine. The recently released Prepar3d5.3 can't hide its parents and morphes pretty well on my machine, too. I'm a slow and low flyer, and this has been one of my pet issues for many years. They never promised they could fix it completely, but that they are working to improve it where and when they can. The point was they have acknowledged and discussed it in a Q&A. Ian used terrain morphing as an example of people talking to a brick wall, but not so in this instance.

Well, I guess the forum band is playing to a different tune, because they don't have Asobo's sheet music, i.e. their code.

The more things slide, the more they seem to recover. I completed two flights today along the USA east coast and the weather was absolutely spot-on. Same as my flight inside Florida yesterday. The three flights, yesterday and today, depicted the most accurate weather I have yet seen in MSFS, all the way back to intro. Understand that I have been perhaps the greatest MSFS weather critic. Today the cloud layers, baro, and winds/winds aloft were all well within tolerance to chase away any complaints. I have not detected any updates to the sim. Go figure! Kind regards, Michael Me too Michael. A deeply irritating issue. You may remember a similar issue in P3d, can't remember which version, it may have been v4.3 or similar(?) but LM corrected it pretty well. It's still there but a loooong way off from how it used to be. Of course that was P3d and not MSFS, but I would have thought they shared some similarities in the coding. December 5, 20214 yr So, from what I’ve read, if you download this beta hot fix you have to reinstall the whole game again after you’re done with it? Is that right or am I wrong? Because, I want the fix but don’t want r to reinstall. Maybe I’ll just wait until it’s an official fix to download
December 5, 20214 yr Here is how it was today. Cruising off the coast of Georgia (USA) at 9,000 ft with scattered layer at 5,000. Haze normal and realistic. Winds aloft from SW at 10 to 15 knots. Pressure in the low 30.20 range. Very close match to metars and FltPlan Go winds aloft. Tomorrow's flight will be from Maryland to central Indiana. What will tomorrow bring? December 5, 20214 yr Will not be installing beta but very much looking forward to the fix when it does launch. Don't feel like chancing needing to download hundreds of gigabytes at 5MB/s. Lol! P3Dv4 + XP11 MFS
