Public beta for SU7 hotfix is out

Featured Replies

The effects of this community doing a beta that they wanted are exactly as a suspected….that it won’t be treated as a beta at all. All of you who have downloaded and reported here have literally just fired up the sim and acted as if you got VIP access to some official patch. Your JOB AS A BETA TESTER is to report to the correct point of contact issues you see with detailed responses and data.

loading your favorite airplane at your favorite airport and just seeing what you see isn’t how this works. You actually need to have a specific purpose.

honestly, asobo, don’t bother with avsim anymore. Its not worth it and having these members doing a beta test for you will net you absolutely no tangible data to work with.

FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠

Well it's still in beta, I mean when can we expect a final release?

Probably within the next 2 weeks. They probably want to release it before the Christmas holidays.

Sometimes I think the errors and the betas are only made to make us being connected to forum.  If it worked, we wouldnt be here but simply flying and enjoying the skies.

It happens with many things in this life: fashion, doctors, graphic cards....

I suppose they may have their team of workers arranging those mistakes. The rest is just like this one: an opinion.

i always say it: live traffic never worked and i paid for it. Now weather is on the beta tester hands.

Sorry for the beta testers and for developers but the boss is not very honest. (en español: no es muy buena persona)

I think it's fine though.  People will always download the latest and greatest thing, even if it's not an official update.

However, there are people in the beta forum right now giving valuable feedback in the threads there.

Yeah, there are going to be some people who just download the beta version to get the latest and greatest.  If they don't contribute to the beta, that's not a big deal, nobody is really hurt.  But there are people right now in the beta forum that are providing valuable feedback so the public opt-in beta is still a huge benefit.

PS. People do this with other video games too, not just MSFS.  In other video games, some people also download the beta version because it's the latest and greatest, and provide very little feedback to the devs.  But on the whole, a public opt-in beta is still a huge net benefit to making the game more stable, because ultimately, there are alot of people that provide valuable feedback to the devs.

What are you on about?

I posted a couple of quick impressions in regards to one of the key issues, and I then posted it to the official forum.

I eagerly await your detailed anaysis. I suspect I'll be waiting a long time.

Like they do anyway? Hahaha. You wrote that like they specifically released it just for the avsim middle aged crew 😄

The userbase at the official forums is ten times bigger.

And of course people are signing up to it, it fixes all their issues. Small price to pay. They probably wouldn’t have if the sim was released in a better state. It’s almost like desperation.

I never thought about it like that before.  That crowd includes me, and I think you are right.  I just wanted to get my hands on a fixed version as soon as possible.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Some of you guys are so dramatic you should star in the next Marvel movie. Cry, moan, and complain all you want but it won't solve anything. Uninstall the sim or something but don't waste time typing up 2 paragraphs about why life isn't perfect. Yes, you paid full price, yes, you should be entitled to a working product but that's not the reality of the situation, is it? Either contribute to the betterment of the sim or save it.

Wouldn't you rather this scenario with our own community testing hotfixes instead of waiting 4-6 months for the next sim update?

OK. Thanks!    But do you realise the irony of your post?  About 2 paragraphs and the drama?  So funny.

You beat me to it… 😂

...anyways I'm eager to hear what people think of the hotfix, don't mind these people.

At least, they've already released the one where a finger snap vanishes half the people, so we're good to go and we know XP12 and P3D6 won't vanish at a snap of an FS2020 finger anymore 😂
