December 9, 20214 yr That depends if you install the ground texture overlay or not. Personally I leave that uninstalled as the results aren't that great in many areas. In which case snow is treated much like it would be in the default sim. The overlay package however does give you some control over the snow in terms of whether it appears on runways/taxiways/roads or not.
December 9, 20214 yr Author MSFS doesn't consistently show snow cover on ground or runways, right? At least I didn't see any when flying in an area with heavy snow fall. In other words, there is no real winter season.

It does (has) worked for me in the past, the big snow fall in Spain last winter was visible in the Sim, albeit a day or two later and not actually "Live" so to speak. Also saw gradual snow increases in the Alps, but again last winter so not sure if it still works as it should right now.
