There's no reason not to jump into the beta IMHO

I don't know if you are running DX11 or DX12, but I have not tried MSFS using DX11 since DX12 came out and I have not had any CTD's running DX12 with the 497.09 driver.

Running DX11 this morning. Never seen that error message before though.

I’m reluctant given the warning that reinstalling the entire sim may be required.

I’m not interested in reinstalling anything. You’d think if you follow the process and instructions, they could assure that update to the released version would be seamless.

I’ll wait.

I've just installed the update/hotfix and had a short 30 min flight.  In that short time, I didn't really notice much, if any difference, but my sim was running fine before anyway.

I did notice that the ILS beam was off again in UK2000 EGGD Bristol, so will have to ask Gary if he can do another update if nobody else has asked yet.  Is that down to the new AIRAC?

Same here. Only difference I noticed was there is less shimmering in the buildings and trees, nothing else.

It was just noticeably worse for me with SU7. I thought it might have something to do with the weather rendering but I haven't been able to pin it down. Oh well maybe it'll have worked itself out with this hotfix.

For anybody who might have the same problem with poor performance after landing, try turning on dev mode. For what ever reason when I have it on I no longer suffer from this issue! Just food for thought.

Yeah, I read that somewhere earlier.  Dev mode can be handy for a number of things and I would use it more often if it would add the flight to my logbook.  One useful feature is being able to change aircraft without going back to the main menu

Is there any news on when the official hotfix will be released? I do not want to risk having to reinstall the whole game.

I was thinking the same. The hotfix is getting pretty darn cold for us non-beta testers.

There are still issues with it which they need to resolve. At least there is for me. The latest NVidia driver still crashes the sim with DX11 and the CRJ is incompatible (blank screens)

I'm not seeing this with the 1.21.18 beta version and any of the CRJ's 4 variants. Solution to your blank screens is in the Aerosoft forums.

It's no longer a Hotfix, more like a Patch, SU7.1 if you will.

No matter how you call it, it's about time they come up with something that works for us. Using preset weather is nice, but live weather of course is much more enjoyable. Just my $0.02.

Which say the CRJ is not compatible with the latest beta. The workaround is to reload the flight and, for some reason, all is well once you have done so.

On my side, the beta provides the best performance I've ever had. And it finally got rid of the pixelated clouds that had been an issue.

Performance is the same here and still have pixelated clouds, but I noticed another plus, they fixed the assistance options changing to easy when using the content manager.
