Am I the only one here who is sick with Covid-19?

I got the vaccine, had Covid 19 over a year ago , 7 weeks in a hospital, that was enough for me.

I got the vaccine too, but it did not help against getting infected, but hopefully I will not have to go to the hospital.

Well at least you're honest, even if you belong in a dark room all by yourself since you don't care how your 'liberty' affects anyone else.  Just sayin'...

If you had the vaccine, chances of going to the hospital are very rare, versus going to the Hospital  without the vaccine. Over 90% of deaths from Covid in the US now , are people that are unvaccinated.

The vaccines absolutely reduce risk for severe disease.  People without understanding often erroneously believe all vaccines should prevent infection, but that is not how mRNA nor conventional vaccines, nor natural immunity work.

As a side point we better thank our lucky stars we are in an era when vaccines can be rapidly developed to work on specific viruses in record time.  I say this because we are also in an era when the ability to create new viruses and modify existing viruses to become ultra pathogenic is going become shocking pedestrian.  10y ago it took a team of PhD biochemists, geneticists and virologists to do anything like this.  But since the discovery and development of CRISPR gene-editing is something undergraduate students are toying with today.  Plus, as with so much of looking at the very big pictures, we simply do not have the safeguards to prevent one driven person with a grudge from accessing viruses like smallpox, Ebola, and especially H5N1 with its 60% mortality rate from leaving a Biosafety Level 4 lab where these viruses live and unleashing a completely game-changing pandemic.  I've always felt Covid-19 was a dress rehearsal for more severe pandemics.  To get a taste of this issue from an authority:

It's clearly a matter of when, not if.

And this will never stop!

I mean... the disinformation spread by such uninformed messages like this one...

But, really, why are we even talking about this in an MSFS forum?! There are so many other venues where people can get to each other throats showing how our poor world has gone mad because it refuses to remain rational...

Just lol…..

Covid and "Politics" go hand in hand. Controversial topics used by them to get us all to hate and fight each other. It's been obviously proven time and time again that it works. You can already start to tell so from reading the comments in this thread against one another. Can we just put all this political word not allowed aside and focus on MSFS and the things that we enjoy. The world would be so much better without this nonsense.

Same in Germany. And the unvaccinated block the ICUs. So if you have a heart attack or whatever chances that you die cause there is no free place are given.

But yeah. Why argue with people who don’t get the whole picture. Or don’t understand the vaccine.

Well. But with COVID they divide the ones understanding science from the ones that don’t.
You are right that politics, especially in the US, divide people. 2 races, 2 parties, bla bla. But COVID is a disease. Scientifically proven. There are millions of deaths and a lot of statistics about it. I don’t get how one can say that this is all just made up political stuff.

I agree with you...i'm waiting for a vaccine which is really reliable in order to resume a normal life without having it even after the vaccination. 😉

It’s not nice.

I’m pretty sure I had it during the first lockdown but there was no tests back then. I never had the classic symptoms, I had a headache which lasted for two weeks,  massive fatigue which lasted for three months and brain fog.

just coming out of a recent infection (positive PCR) with added man flu for desert and it’s not as bad this time but I can feel I’m not right still.

I’m a very active person, I cycle to a high standard and train 8-10hrs per week, my VO2 max is in the superb level which gives me a fitness level of a very fit 20yo (I’m 50) - but it absolutely smashed me last year.

my advice is if you catch it rest rest rest - don’t force the issue as you will end up with complications like I did with my heart. Secondly if you aren’t fit do something about it!
