Copying/coverting traffic files between FS9 and FSX

Recommended Posts

Guest TFLeonard

Is there a way to copy/convert the traffic files that are used in FS9 and use them in FSX?I have a program that generates traffic based on airline schedules and it doesn't work directly with FSX. I believe it creates standard traffic files, since it uses the SDK tools to make the files. If someone could give me a clue as to which files I need to copy and from/to in FS98/FSX, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Thanks.Go over to www.fsdeveloper.com and search the forums there.A person with the userID of "lc0277" has created a utilitythat will take FS9 traffic BGL's, created with TTools, andconvert them to the FSX file format as well as adjusting forthe 1 day offset between tohe two formats and also checksfor the airport changes in FSX vs FS9.The utility is named "bglfpfsxconvert.exe" and requiresJava to work. There are some here that seem to questionthe validity of this conversion but I know from experiencethat it allows my imported and converted FS9 traffic BGL'sto co-exist with the default FSX traffic BGL's. This is notthe case with FS9 files that haven't been converted. Paul
