The guy has over 100 videos on youtube. What am I getting with this tutorial that I can't get from the ones he has already posted?

 Only the freeloaders will complain.

So asking about value/price makes me a freeloader? Got it.

I would certainly buy it. For 3 reasons. To see how real or unreal my sim version is....because it gives more insight.

See my question above.

. He will sell not so many.

That, I'll agree with you on.

I think if he priced it at $25 he would have sold 5 times the number of courses.

I was gonna say the same. Took the words right out of my mouth.

I jumped on the chance to buy the Majestic Q400 training videos that were around $25, and so did many other people that bought the Q400. The videos were excellent, and you downloaded them to your hard drive and could watch them over and over. If they had been $50, I probably would have passed on getting them.

I agree Bob. If it was $25. I'd get it immediately; especially if some of the money goes to Paupa New Guinea charity. I'm not sure who his target audience is. The original OP could have mentioned it was a paid tutorial with some of the money going to charity instead of a clickbait title.

I'm in for $25 now.

You are not in the wrong business, you don’t think its worth to you. Respectable. That doesn’t make people who think it is worth it, suckers.

Making tutorial videos is a lot of work. He will sell not so many. So he set a price as he thought fit for a decent return. Saying that « there is a sucker born every minute »  means that he tries to scam buyer. Not respectable to say that.

Compare what is offered with that of FSAcademy, which provide great tutorials covering about the same scope to maybe a higher level at round a third of the price that is asked for the Kodiak product.  I do not deny it is probably quite good but someone who decides it is overcharging is not a Freeloader.

$49.97 LMAOL There is a sucker born each minute.

Stuff takes hours to produce.  I made a few paints from scratch and while I'm not fast it took me a couple of hours plus time for screenshots to showcase them.  My time is valuable so maybe I charge 60 bucks an hour - 180 USD for one livery.  Obviously no one would buy it.  However I'm just making a point that people's time is worth something.  Editing videos and making a watchable package isn't easy.

My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL |
| Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

After doing some research, and I wish the original OP could have explained Ryans Mission more. I may be good for $50 if some of it goes to the charity. What ethnos360aviation does is a good thing. I just wish it could have been explained better in the original post.

A little communication goes a long way.

Let me do some research get the plane set up and I may just retract that statement as I am learning about the work Ryan does. It could have been explained better in the OP. But we as simmers have also spent many hours and dollars a on all sorts of addons and we have budgets also from medical expenses, food, rent , heat, electricity and some of us are not as wealthy as the target audience of the tutorial. It was an odd post the way it was presented.

Ryan, I agree and once I get the plane set up may want to help out your mission.

I have a freind that went to PG recently and believe in what you do.

It's not my videos I'm just trying to say that people's time is worth something.  I probably won't buy the videos because I can figure stuff out myself.  But if the content is well done maybe it's worth 50 USD?

After reading their site, a big HELL No (and I'm a Protestant who went to a very strict Catholic boys boarding school).

I bought it and decided to ask for a refund which was promptly given by Ryan. My course progressed to the 10% point. I believe the refund is good up to 20%. I may consider it again.
