Have a Laugh at my Expense

I always think it's good medicine to be able to laugh at yourself, which is exactly what I did today after spending about an hour not undertsanding why I couldn't cold start the Kodiak. I had forgotten to turn off the fuel shutoff valve on the pedestal!

Kinda like when I try to start my scooter with the shutoff switch in the off position. And I end up taking it apart to find the problem.

I can completely relate! 

I once became impatient with my slow progress into a 100 knot headwind over the Mediterranean Sea in an A320. I dialled up the speed by 50 knots. 

What do you mean I've run out of fuel?

Have a laugh at MY expense: today I've wasted about 2,5 hours (with sim rate at 4x) flying the 787 from LFBD to KSEA and crashed it on the runway because:

• framerate was 10 fps (long haul framerate issue bug)
• lost VNAV and A/T functionalities when I resumed sim rate 1x for the descent 

BOOOOM! No achievement 😞

No laughing here.  I've had to restart multiple CRJ flights because I could not taxi only to realize I forgot to remove the chocks..
