@Fielder

I removed the link due to the language and sensitivity.

If anyone wants to hear the communication they can search it on YouTube themselves.

That being said, I can understand the pilots  last words if I realize I was about the drill a hole in the ground.

Another circle to land ending in a loss of life incident.  Max Trescott offers his perspective here.

CFR Part 135 requires that aircraft must be capable of landing within 60 percent of the available runway length. A Lear landing on Rwy17 would need to be able to land at (0.60 x 4145ft) or 2487ft whereas Rwy27R (0.60 x 5342ft) or 3,205ft. Perhaps the pilot felt he needed the extra 718 ft that Rwy27R provided?  Sad it didn't work out!

Am I imagining things? Or, has there been a rash of private aircraft crashes lately.

A couple of months ago a C340 crashed while approaching KMYF only a few miles from KSEE where the Lear went down. Both crashes had last minute Rwy changes?

Saw the video.  I would have said way much worse! 😳  Wonder what made it spiral in while making the turn to final?

I hate to get stuck into air crashes, but it is an important part of being a pilot (in RL anyway).

I like this guy's coverage of incidents. He's a airline pilot and has his ducks in a row. I linked his report on the Cessna crash you mentioned.

Yes. He's a 777 F/O for American. He does a good job of explaining what may have led to the accident. I wonder if this guy stalled while making his turn to the runway?

I wished all these "experts" stop speculating, especially when people died.
It takes months end even years to conclude an investigation.
