Latest Nvidia driver is 497.29 .

Just installed those, I was able to open "the Hangar" screen and there it was, went to the map and picked a different livery. Picked airport and ramp hit fly and while it was loading - CTD. OH well, It's in my aircraft collection folder - doing nothing.

Tried numerous times yesterday to run The Kodiak 100, re-installed 3 times, stripped everything out of Community folder. This morning ran 4 flights. One each with 152, Piaggio, TBM and 172. All were fine. Re-installed the Kodiak, picked the plane went to totally different airport and bang, CTD.

There is an FAQ on their website.  CTD if using DX12 with the Kodiak.

Not sure if this is your issue or not, but if you are using DX12 setting in the sim, you might want to go back to DX11.

I've had a few CTD's with it, including the first time I tried to load it.

They usually happen when I select the "fly" button & the sim has almost loaded the flight in.

Still using an older video driver.

Purchase the Kodiak today direct from Simworks. I have the latest version and latest Nvidea drivers. The game crashes immediately I enter the cockpit of any of the Kodiaks...

Like other, re installed, emptied Community folder etc. Everything else still works just not the Kodiak!

Not sure what to do.

If anyone has an idea, I would appreciate it.

Ok, Sorry I hadn't read the DX 12 thing....

Adjusted my DX to 11 under Options/General/Graphics

Now working fine

DX12 has been creating CTDs for weeks with different aircraft like the DC6.

Okay, running the Steam version, last night I "verified files", which of course deleted the install. Re-downloaded MSFS 2020, ran orbx central and verified all sceneries. Turned off all of Windows Defender, re-downloaded the Kodiak thru Simmarkets "app" instead of through website. Did a clean install of the 479.29 nVidia drivers. Turned off Hags and Game Mode. Installed the Kodiak, Naturally had a CTD when trying to use it.

Then I show up here and discover the DX12 "thingy". Okay - one more experiment to do.

It's so funny, I wasn't going to buy the Kodiak, but kept seeing the "excitement" about it. And now I've spent 2 days fighting with it.

I guess I had to spend time doing something (besides, I love computers, the little buggers!) Okay, I'm off to change back to DX11. (but I sure like the DX12 iteration) will report back.

DX11 works- yahoo! - my gosh, all that futzing around. Sure hope SW is working on DX12 compatibility. But, I'll accept it for now.

Funny thing, all the things I was thinking of trying, it plumb slipped my mind that we used to be on DX11 and not DX12.
