What have I done

Recommended Posts

Hello all first off happy new year. I’ve gone to update from 5.2 to 5.3 I uninstalled the “client” first and then the academic after I’ve then reinstalled p3d but now I’ve noticed my addons aren’t working even orbx ain’t picking up the files and wants me to reinstall again. I’ve noticed in the p3d menu addons that the addons are there but not working any help is appreciated.

did you run P3D at least once before "verifying" your products in orbx central?

Assuming that you installed into the same directory path as the old install, and you did not get rid of one of the drives you were holding orbx scenery on, I'm lost on this problem. In the past , iv'e either un-installed all modules except the main "Academic" or just un-installed with the setup.exe.

I've never done what you've done, un-install Client and then "Academic". If you uninstall with "Academic" it's the same as using the original setup.exe.

I don't know what to tell you.

Whilst not claiming to be an expert I think if you were going to upgrade from 5.2 to 5.3 by uninstalling the 3 modules (Client,Content and Scenery) then unistalling Academic is a no no.

By uninstalling Academic you are effectively doing a complete fresh install.

Another suggestion is try running the sim sync in Orbx central..
