December 31, 20214 yr ...a scenario where you have lots of CPU/GPU/VRAM/RAM headroom, are maintaining your locked frame rate of 30, yet get a frequent microstutter. What's interesting is if I Alt-Enter to go to Windowed mode it stops and it's back to liquid smooth. I don't normally see this behavior but have before, and did again just now, on approach to KSHR. Server access is what is always is, around 44ms, 300mbps bandwidth. If you've seen it and have a solution post it please Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. That's what I get, cruise no problem but sometimes close to the ground or after landing it can be a stutterfest, even sometimes at small airports with little detail or few buildings. Even happens with traffic and multiplayer off. i7-6700k • Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 • 32GB DDR4 2666 • EVGA FTW ULTRA RTX3080 12GB
January 1, 20224 yr Author It was just as I was on approach there and if I recall this happened before when on approach in some weather. Usually I never see stuttering (ATC and spinning logging indicator withstanding) unless the main thread is maxed, or GPU, when frame rate can't be maintained at 30. This is very different, and it's subtle as well. I had frequent micro stutters closer to the ground and especially on takeoff and landing. Come to find out after finding others on the official forums, that white circle was causing the microstutters. If you’re having this, you can go into dev mode > console > clear console of errors. That stupid white circle will go away and the microstutters are gone. Hope that helps!
