Massive framerate hit with FBW A32NX Experimental

Featured Replies

Hello Gang!  For what is worth, I have run several tests today with the latest Experimental version at CYVR, KORD, and KFLL (all payware addons), with live weather turned on (which live weather is broken at the moment), and with AIG traffic in full force, and I did not experience any FPS issues as stated by the OP - I stayed in the high 40's and mid 50's all the time.  I did not however, import any FP's so hopefully that yields a clue maybe??

Sincerely,

Dennis D. Müllert

I can see a small 3-4 fps drop when having a flight plan loaded but this is mainly due to the LNAV calculator being active when a flight plan is loaded (this won't change with the size of the flight plan). I'm working on some optimizations but a 40% drop is definitelly not the experience most have been reporting and I've done 6 hour flights with no issues myself.

It is very hard to keep the performance in check while adding a lot of stuff to the FMS but we definitely know it's not always ideal so I'm working on some optimizations for real-time instruments to lower the rendering load.
