How do you people deal with mid-altitude category 5 winds induced by AS? It hit me again today. During climb out on the default 737 at 235 knots. Around 16k ft, I got a 140mph tail wind which reduced my IAS to about 95, and the plane immediately went into a stall. Is there a way to adjust this in AS itself?

Hi,With a registered version of FSUIPC you can adjust the speed of the change. By default it is 5 deg/sec, 5/kts/sec.Edit: Also, with FSX some smoothing options are not the best. OK. However, is a 150mph wind even possible when we got clear sky here. Hopefully this is not a bug in AS or FSX.

Is there a way to adjust this>in AS itself?This is a known issue in ASV, if you use wake effect, especially if you have the increased wake effect option selected. Try turning it off. It won't stop the wild gyrations on tailwind or headwind, (Which I think is more of an FS issue, FS9 was the same way) but it shouldn't be as severe as to cause a stall.

This post reminds me...a few weeks ago i was flying out of Hong Kong( i think it was)as i was taxiing to the runway and as i turned my 747 i was actually blown onto my side.Never happened before or sinceCheers Andy

Jim, I just ran through all the options of FSUIPC ver 4.09 (registered) and did not see these settings. Can you clarify? I did "suppress" gusts so maybe that is the equivalant with newer versions.
