January 18, 20224 yr Add ons add up! no pun intended.... at some point you just lose track of all the airports and other add ons you have. As I am doing a clean reinstall, I find myself scratching my head trying to remember all of the airports. So, once I get everything installed, I was wondering if there is an easy way to dump all of the add on info into a file? Will make it much easier next time! thanks!
January 18, 20224 yr Try this -- https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/print-directory-in-windows-10/c5242305-a544-4378-9763-ec776be9f56d You might have to do this for both the root P3D directory (in case some devs haven't used the xml option) as well as the P3D Add-ons in your documents folder. January 18, 20224 yr Best way is if addons are installed outside - for example all my orbx, I just move them out from the Orbx Addon directory (set in OrbxDirect App) and run p3d again. Clean system back up running. Can't do anything with addons who maker like PMDG, Flightbeam who still want to old FSX style installations. How I Evaluate Third Party Sim Addon Developers Refined P3Dv5.0 HF2 Settings Part1 (has MaddogX) and older thread Part 2 (has PMDG 747)
January 18, 20224 yr I don't know of a method of combining into a single source - but you only need to look at 3 files to get a complete list of all your addons. C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\add-ons.cfg C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\add-ons.cfg C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\scenery.cfg Copy and paste into something like Notepad++ - and with a bit of manual editing you will have a complete list of everthing that is burdening down your sim 🙂 Edited January 18, 20224 yr by TonyD 9800X3D + RTX 4080 + 64GB DDR5
