Why does a file go "bad" all of a sudden

Featured Replies

I installed update 8 the other day and the small update the day after and everything was working fine.  Then all of a sudden, my content manager wasn't working properly even though nothing new was added.  I have it narrowed down to 5 potential files right now but why does this happen?  Are we getting mini updates every day that cause an issue?

Because it‘s a beta? Did you check/report at the official MS beta forum?

Sometimes, emptying the community folder, then putting it all back in can solve a problem as it results in a new xml file being created that loads addons in a different order.  It seems to me that perhaps some addons need a higher priority than others to avoid conflicts.

Thanks, I hate to reload all 1500 of them.  Would creating a new community folder and copying them over work?  What you said makes the most sense so far because if I split all the filles into two groups, each group works fine but not when I put the two groups together.  I thought it might be a conflict between files in group a and b but it seems more of a size thing because as I add them back together, it gets to a certain "limit" and it doesn't matter what file I add next to cause the issues with the content manager where it will not load up anymore.
