February 11, 20224 yr Here's what I just discovered about the panel display brightness problem with the Longitude: When I hand-edited the "state" file located in the simobjects > airplanes > Asobo_Longitude folder, I changed the brightness setting from 0 to 1. When I restarted the sim, all the panels looked normal. To re-check, I restored the brightness setting to 0 in the "state" file and the brightness issue once again appeared -- the panels were almost invisible. So I don't claim to understand what's going on here. But that fixed the issue for me. I still can't believe I'm the only simmer who's experienced this problem. February 11, 20224 yr I cannot even get a flight set up since applying the beta update. I get to the home screen, select airports, etc., click fly, the screen starts to process but it never finishes. I never get to the FLY screen. I have completely removed my Community folder stuff (via skipping Addons Linker step and still I cannot get to start an actual flight. Any ideas what to tackle besides getting out of the beta? February 11, 20224 yr People were asking for more tests of updates before release and Asobo gives the opportunity to do that. In-house tests would be preferred instead of using customers as testers but it's voluntary and the pool and amount of data flowing back is probably more insightful and shortens the test phase as well. Just want to say thank you to those participating and trying to help improve the platform.

I had to renamed my community folder and MSFS started without a community folder, MSFS created a new one. I copied some of third party planes to the new community folder and so far it's running fine. Jorg said they have about 50 in-house testers on salary. They also do in-house testing before they give it to us to beta test it. All major game companies with in-house testers on salary will test it in-house before opening it up to beta testing (otherwise, what's the point of keeping the 50 in-house testers on salary if they don't do anything?). The fact that bugs still get through with an in-house testing team of 50 people shows how complex MSFS is, and all the different combinations of hardware that can lead to bugs. And by far, MSFS is probably the most complex simulator for the home market. Edited February 11, 20224 yr by abrams_tank i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
