TFDi pricing for MD-11 announced

Recommended Posts

As per @threegreen's post over on the MSFS sub-fourms, TFDi has announced their pricing for the MD-11.

Quote

Expected Pricing

The product will be offered in packages to allow you to select the exact features and options you want.

If you purchase either the cargo or passenger base pack, the other package is available for the reduced rate.

The Extended Simulation Package will include operational failures, an advanced custom failures menu, and some circuit breaker functionality.

  • Base Pack (Cargo or Passenger): $89.99 USD
  • Expansion (The One You Did Not Purchase Already): $14.99
  • Extended Simulation Package: $14.99

I find the MD-11 base pack's 50% price increase over the 717 to be quite punchy, especially as there's a further $30 to pay for the variant expansion and extra simulation packs to complete the set.
I'll wait for the reviews to see if I want to go for it.

Hey, that's good news and thanks for the heads-up. 👍

OK 90 bucks is not cheap but am sure TFDI will have a model that delivers high quality.

I do like the flexibility of being able to chose the base package.

Very much looking forward to this one. It has been sorely missed in the P3D hangar!

Cheers,

The price seems fine in the current market when I look at recent P3D and XP addons.

I can't wait to be honest.

it is strange to talk about price if we do not really know what they bring

based on what I've seen in their previews it seems they have really upped their game compared to the 717.  Day 1 purchase for me

There is a small description of expected features, but its not a full blown list yet on their web site. A lot of expectations are based upon the capabilities they have brought to their previous Boeing 717.

I am waiting for one feature in their list to appear that states "Cargo expansion with real cargo door animation."  (unlike a certain other vendor that advertises a cargo version with no cargo door!) 🤪

Is this a change in the release order from a previous announcement?

Previously the passenger model was to release first, followed by the cargo model whereas this announcement indicates the basepack can be either pax or cargo meaning both will be ready at initial release?

Kind Regards,

Peter

I do hope there will be a paint kit to go along with that. I would mind taking a stab at a few cargo variants.

This was posted by TFDI on the TFDI Discord for those who wanted to know if the price cover both P3D and MSFS2020.

The packages will be Passenger and Freighter, not per platform. We may offer a discount if you have it on P3D but want to buy it for MSFS, but the two will not be mutually exclusive as the work varies between each simulator platform
