TFDi pricing for MD-11 announced

Recommended Posts

Yes, 12 months out, but the good news is that more public updates will apparently start appearing  as they state their "quiet period of development" is coming to an end.

I am really encouraged by the amount of systems detail being provided with this aircraft with its various navigation and stabilization assistance systems being modelled to a large degree of detail. I am really looking to flying this one when it arrives on the scene sometime in 2023.

Keep up the excellent work TFDi!

They release pricing details now yet the product is still a year away? Odd.

I just want to know WHEN, it is an instant purchase.

I would’ve much preferred a DC-10.

I wonder how they'll handle P3D V6, since that's in our about to start closed beta, it'll definitely be out before the MD11.

TBH I'm quite happy with Rotate MD11 right now, I don't think I would spend another 100$ if it doesn't provide some good surprise...

Completely understand that the Rotate version for X-plane looks to be quite well featured in its simulation so I understand why it may not be essential purchase for P3D. I was quite surprised (positively) by its feature list.

Based on TFDi's development updates, there should be quite a bit of systems simulation included (e.g LSAS, RCWS and other flight protection modes etc) in this specific incarnation of the 3-holer.

I also see they have been working on the cabin environment, but for me that's not a must-have item. It's good that they have an option to disable it.

This should be an option in all airliners in my opinion.

They probably already know needed changes for the next version of p3d.  I use Prosim for my cockpit and they pushed an update about a month ago that already had an item listed in the release notes as 'updates to backend for future P3d version'.  I'm sure major developers are in the know with LM on what is coming.
