February 20, 20224 yr On the linda summery page I have Action Required: fsuipc files not found. My vrinsight MCP2 does not connect to the sim. Thanks Paul
February 21, 20224 yr @burm from your emails I can only assume that you are not looking in the right place for FSUIPC7 and LINDA. Is this your first use of LINDA or have you had the MCP working before? I need to see the FSUIPC6.log and LINDA2.log to be able to help you. Otherwise I am fighting it dark. FSUIPC6 can create up to 3 directories of the same name: one containing the FSUIPC6 documentation in /Documents and one on its own ideally in a root directory. FSUIPC6 and later no longer use the /modules directory within the Flt Sim directory. The one in /Prepar3D v4 Add-ons contains only an add-on.xml that points to the real location of the FSUIPC6.DLL. I suggest you start your install again and follow the guidance in the release notes. Also ensure you have the correct Com Port number for the MCP. Use VRSIM.EXE or Windows Device Manager to find the correct one. February 21, 20224 yr Author I had linda working before in p3d v4.5. FSUIPC6 is installed in C/users/Paul/Documents/Prepar3dv4 Add-ons. I assume that is where I install linda, right?
February 21, 20224 yr Not necessarily. What is in FSUIPC6 in that directory? Send me a screenshot. If FSUIPC6 and LINDA are running from Add-ons then there must be a fsuipc6.log in there. If not there is something seriously wrong with the installation. February 21, 20224 yr Thank you for the screenshot. That looks better. You need to turn on file extensions so you can see the log files. I can see one linda2(.log) and I suspect I can see see the FSUIPC6 log. I need you to send me these when you can see the file extensions. February 21, 20224 yr Author So if it is not necessary where I put the linda files I can put them in p3d/modules?
February 21, 20224 yr I don't suggest that. /modules is dead. FSUIPC experts recommend putting FSUIPC6 in its own directory in the root. February 21, 20224 yr Author I don't understand what you mean by root folder. The fsuipc6 installer puts it in the p3d addons folder. Is it ok to put the linda 3334 folders in the fsuipc6 folder?

As you just reported, the logs suggest everything is as expected. Enjoy.
