Had my first run, and when wanting to exit MSFS,  the blue bar went to full right and the sim just sat there, had to you Task Manger.  Anybody seen this?

Didn't happen to me.

One step forwards, two steps back again for me with this update. Some good bugs squished, but at the same time some regressions.

Same old story.

Updated with no problem, but I lack moving airport vehichle traffic. I've tried a couple of airports including LAX and none of them have any moving car/busses/trucks etc after the update. My traffic settings is ok. Mayby something in my community folder is messing things up? Anyone having simular experience and could help me point to a most likely culprit? But most likely I'll have to start the tedious work to eliminate one addon at the time 🙄

Come here you big, beautiful cup of coffee and lie to me about how much we’re going to get done today.

Two major issues since update.

1.   MSFS will not shut down...it hangs, and I have to use the Task Manager to kill it.

2.  At any airport the Main Thread now runs at 45 MS....showing total red.  As soon as I get airborne,  it drops to 20 MS.   Never had that before...and my FPS at an airport just tanks...with that 45 MS on the Main Thread.  Any suggestions as to why this is happening?

Two problems I never experienced during the Beta and now on SU8 Final Ses ...

Looks like some addon on the Community folder is inteferring ( ? ). Could you move de contents of the Community folder from where MFS is reading it and check if that makes any difference ?

Remove half the content, then test.

1)if problem still exists:  remove half of the remaining content and test again.

2)if not: add half,  test again.

Man I despise new SU updates - no CTD for months - first flight out of the box and CTD getting close to NZAA - BAM!

Thanks Waldo Pepper. That's way quicker 😀

"MSFS Addon's Linker" features tools that will scan your content folders for conflicts,  and it gives you the option to fix them automagically.

It probably won't fix your current issue,  but I find it useful for checking content that I've downloaded.

This was being experienced by some before SU8, me included. It continued through SU8 beta for me and then suddenly stopped happening. One workaround for some people was waiting a couple of minutes before exiting (this worked for me on several occasions but not all).

It was nothing to do with my community folder, incidentally.

Was getting long load times getting to the "fly now" screen. Removed some older addon liveries from flightsim.to and that seemed to have done the trick.

Edit - I also had a long load after the SU8 update and it did eventually complete after waiting (as you've noted).

Isn't that an option? Maybe they just changed the default.
