Mid Click Mouse Issue

Recommended Posts

I have updated to SU8 and when pressing the mid click button on my mouse to zoom in it works fine, but pressing it again to go back to the mouse cursor so I can click on things in the flightdeck does not work, it just stays in zoom mode. I haven't had this issue before and have tried configuring my mouse settings in MSFS but to no avail. Any idea what the issue may be?

Agreed.  There's also the option to hold right click and releasing it to stop moving the view. Zoom still works with that method.

Yes, but mid-mouse toggle is either a bug or a changed "feature".

The command is TOGGLE FREELOCK in Controls Options --> Mouse-->Camera --> Cockpit Camera.

Pre-SU8 it really was a toggle and behaved correctly.  Now, it's not a toggle.  You have to right click to exit, assuming you have default mouse controls.

If it's no longer a toggle by design, they should not call it a toggle anymore.   I think that's a mistake though, I think it's a bug.

Because they changed it. Works perfect. I push down on my mouse scroll wheel to enter free zoom. Then right click to exit.

Why do we keep defending these rookie mistakes? Standards and expectations continue to lower.
