Which would make the PMDG 737 the most expensive add on in mainstream consumer sim history. once you add up the variants.

Good thing I only care for the 737 and 738 I guess. 😄

Happy with MSFS 🙂

well if his estimate at 70-90 per variant ends up being true, you're still in the 140-180 range...

I also maintain a healthy degree of certainty that the number of people on this forum who are going to buy MORE than one or two variants is far greater than the number of people on this forum who are SAYING they are only buying one or two variants to make a forum point.  And those two groups will have a lot of overlap.

Did PMDG rule out a tiered pricing structure?  In other words, $60 for the first variant, then $20 for each additional one.  To me this would make the most sense.

No interest in the 146.  Of the others, whichever ships first.

The 737 is an instant buy. Probably not the MD and definitely not the 146. The MD was pretty cool and all, but it just not for me. The 146 on the other hand, looked kind of neat but really wasn't anything special. There's a reason why only 370 or so were made.

They haven't said anything at all about pricing structure, other than a few vague statements.  everything we have been discussing is conjecture.  And you are correct about that pricing structure making sense, unless you are PMDG and you have to manage that across a bunch of different vendors selling the product, and the support requests thereof.  Which isn't impossible, but it is something to consider, Also, they have never been anything other than a high-end developer in quality or price.  mostly deserved except a few incidents.

They will do what they will do.  But I'm highly skeptical about anything I've heard here about them having seen the light about high volume sales and lower pricing unless I see it.  I believe the previous poster will ultimately be correct. 70-90 average per variant.  it'll be expensive as hell.  it'll be broken up over a number of months which will make it seem less so, and if you only want a partial experience, you might do ok, but still...

I disagree, this plane is quirky or simply bizarre, that's why it will be a lot of fun to fly it.

3D model, texture, cockpit, systems, sounds seems really well done. We just need more info on the FMS.

tbh I'm just happy flying this FBW A32NX around at the moment (plus the Headwind 330). I like the airbuses right now. might look at this Fenix one that you all speak of.

Owned the PMDG's right back to FS9 but might wait awhile this time round for the 900 and the max.

With two kids under 10, my sim time is very limited (400-500nm flights) as it stands let alone trying to decide which plane I want to use on a given day.

There are all sorts of boring, valid business related reasons that some really interesting aircraft weren't successful in the real world.  But that's what's great about flight sim,  the bean counters don't determine what you can fly.  A 146 interests me way more than a lot of modern, highly computerized fuel efficient tubes with wings.  Had a lot of fun with the QW Avro versions in sims past,  hopefully they will be forthcoming as well.

The 146 is a lot of work, That's why I find myself flying the CRJ less and less. Too much attention I have to pay. For people who like to be that active with the aircraft Then Its for you.

I like to enjoy the sim and sceneries. And if I want to  be that involved then I can with the 747NG too. IF I don't want to I have that fun factor.
