Leonardo MD beta pics for MSFS

Recommended Posts

DISCLAIMER:  The NDA for the Leonardo MD80 has been partially lifted for the beta testers to start showing screens and videos.  The following screens represent the latest beta build, but not necessarily the final release build.  I am not allowed to answer any detailed questions about features/functions other than what Leonardo has officially released thus far.  Please just enjoy the pics 🙂

Did a hop from KMIA to Atlanta...ILS into KATL, pretty bad weather, and I don't know how to fly her proficiently, but managed to get her down thru the clouds thanks to the ILS system. 🙂

Nice weather outta' Miami

Cruise ships below, Miami skyline quickly sliding behind me....leaving my smokey signature as a farewell. 😂

As I got further north along the coast, the clouds started building....this won't be fun.
qkXW2U.png

Just above the lower cloud layer....10.4NM to the runway...gonna' let her fly herself down. 🙂
8YRM4o.png

Heavy rain, 7.4NM....solid IMC, she's holding the needles perfectly.

Breaking out 3.5NM away....what a pretty sight!

Safe landing...quick taxi to the T gates as I was landing in the right direction for American flights. 🙂   We have T14 this morning.

Jetway connected, pax deboarding, glad the old girl still has it where it counts...

May recreate my final AA MD80 flight before she retired....KDFW to KTPA.

Here's that flight as we're on the downwind to KTPA, visible just off the wing

Oh i feel like such a loser…

any chance you could post a picture of a wing view with the flaps down? Im very curious to see what it looks like in the new msfs graphics.

No need for self degradation Matt....this forum is here to show things to folks who don't have a particular software package and would like to see certain features. 😉

I think this one looks "SASSY", hehe.

//Shameless plug mode on

Although I didn't paint this Maddog...I've been known to drop some sassy paint on to a plane or two. 🙂  (This is the cute little -600 for the iFly 737 in P3Dv5 I painted a while back)

Painted her big sister too

I like this SAS livery the best.  Not a big fan of the newest...I think the red/white engines really set her apart.
