Logitech Yoke/Throttle-How to use the 3 modes

Recommended Posts

So, I recently bought the Logitech Yoke/Throttle system.  I see that there are 3 modes which gretly expands the functionality of the buttons. It seems that to use the 3 modes I have to use Logitech's programming.  So how will this integrate with FS2020's controls setup?  Obviously I don't know what to do or if I should do anything.  Any suggestions.

PS-What I am really interested in dong is using the yoke to steer while taxiing.  But obviously the yoke is dedicated to the ailerons.  I thought while I was on the ground, I could assign the yoke Mode 2 to rudders and then when I take off, switch back to Mode 1.

Thanks, Dave

you can't use the three modes directly via MSFS assignments. You have to use the programming tool and send keystrokes. So setup the keyboard assignments in MSFS the way you want and then send those keys to the sim using the Logitech software. It's more powerful that way for other uses as well - such as setting up one of the levers as a gear control using the axis bands

I believe Spad.next can manage this through conditions (it's under Local, Session, and YOKE_MODE with value 1, 2, or 3 depending on the mode). If you own that program and want a more directly managed approach (ie Spad.next addresses SimConnect rather than doing keystrokes) it's a good way to go.

Spad.Next when purchased is yours forever. But any updates to the Spad.Next software will cost money. They also offer a subscription which I would not buy (it has deluxe features).

If the logitech software works, I would use that instead because its easier to program. But Spad.Next has lots and lots of more customization and programming that can be done, but not really easy to learn.
