FSX Sound changes when window focus changes

Recommended Posts

Hi! I run FSX with four viewport windows: one for the GPS, one for the front view and one for each side window. I have this issue where my engine sounds change, mainly volume, when I change focus between those windows. The side windows seem to have louder engine sounds than the front window. Is there a way to even this out so it remains the same volume no matter which view has focus? I have Soundstream installed, btw, and I don't think it's related to that. At least I hope not.........

thanks! Dave

In MS Windows 10, on the bottom right taskbar, right-click on the speaker symbol. Select "Sounds" from the menu. From the window that appears, on the "Communications" tab, select the "Do nothing" option. Click the OK button.

Let's see if this is the issue.
