Best MSFS Sceneries [Europe/UK]

Featured Replies

I have downloaded hundreds of european sceneries free from flightsim.to.  I've rarely been disappointed by any of them.  At least 95% have been keepers for me, though I don't keep all of them in the community folder, just the ones covering the area I want to fly. Duxford, Cranwell Southend and Sywell are amongst my favourites along with any of Superspuds airports.

I also collect a lot of photo sceneries along with puffinflights "WeloveVFR" parts 1 & 2 and a powerlines addon.  I also downloaded quite a number of model libraries that some of the airports need.

Henrik's global shipping is a must for me too along with Keith Hackett's (alias Stinger) piers all around the UK which I find excellent.

If you like flying in France, you can find some excellent free scenery here: https://www.simvol.org/en/downloads/

Having spent a fortune building a system and buying MSFS, I don't have a lot left to spend on payware other than my local airport.

I just looked  at some of their airports and they look fantastic if the pictures are anything to go by, David.  Unfortunately, you can't buy anything from them at the moment due to the sanctions resulting from the Evil war criminal Putin's unjustified and murderous invasion of Ukraine.

Yes, real evil.
I am very sorry for Alex, he is a very nice person who can't share his talent anymore because of such a monster.

Yuck!

A lot of payware scenery is on the same level as the free stuff over on flightsim.to.

Before spending money check out the free versions first.

Hmmm, given that OP wants somewhere to land his A320, I suspect spud’s St Mary’s and his other grass strip on the Scilly Isles may be a little bit challenging…

One of my favourites too.  Suggest you get Superspud's Lands End and Culdrose to go with it for some nice short hops between the 3 of them.

Hope someone will someday model the buildings, signpost and first and last house at Lands End for some proper realism.

Just realised this recently after being in contact with the developer through email. However - I found his LEBB Bilbao in the MSFS marketplace. Could be other of his sceneries there too!

As for EU/UK addon recommendations, look for developers as they vary quite a bit in quality. Of the Orbx developers, Pyreegue is one of the best. Their Glascow and Edinburgh are currently on Easter sale.

As for Aerosoft, it can be a bit of a hit and miss. Berlin Brandenburg received poor reviews but Cologne/Bonn might be one of the best EU airports out there.

Jetstream makes high quality airports - Nantes Atlantique, Paris Orly, Milan Linate.

I highly recommend Digital Design's Salzburg. Their Liverpool is also great.

LIRQ Florence by Gaya is fantastic. Could be hard on the frames though.

LatinVFR - their Barcelona is excellent! However Madrid Barajas is a bit of a mixed bag. Not sure if I would recommend the latter over the Asobo enhanced version.

Finally - a relatively new developer - MaccoSim - has two high quality UK airports - Manchester and Birmingham selling for around £10. I'm sure there will be more from MaccoSim in the future as they seem to have great potential.

Better avoid JustSim as their addons are sub par. I find that UK2000 sceneries are not worth it either.

I know its not Europe but I didnt want to start a new thread for just one recommendation.:

The OrbX Van Nuys airport scenery, is absolutely the best addon airport ive come across, really immersive it even has built in sounds of the airport movements
bloody brilliant

P.S. no noticeable performance hit on my rather basic system
