[BETA UPDATE] Microsoft Store version DON'T update

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

Few hours ago, Microsoft Store players received a mandatory update. This update rolls back MSFS to the World Update 8 version while keeping some SU9 packages. This results in preventing players to properly experience the sim (fly button greyed out and other issues).

While the team is investigating, we suggest Microsoft Store players not to update to the latest update.

We will keep you informed as we are currently working on this.

Thank you for your patience.

The MSFS Team.

If so, then the subject line really needs to be changed ASAP.

I'm not on the beta team, so am now wondering whether I'll be forced to update. It often *doesn't give you the option*.

nobody really knows 100% yet, the subject head line is taken straight from the MSFS forum's admin message. I suggest everybody checks frequently for themselves:

Wow. Too late for me. Started the sim and got the update. It's a mess now. Fresh install once again due to incompetence.

Not an issue with MSFS its MS store word not allowed. Again. Why i repurchased the Steam version a month after purchasing the Store version. No problems with steam as long as one doesn't "verify" files. 🙂

Hester40MTForum Moderator Team:

Probably best to not start the sim until they figure this out.

This is the best. Wait until next push of the update. It’s currently being discussed on the best way forward. An announcement will be made. At this point, hold tight, don’t launch MSFS

Nothing to do with incompetence... an easy word to throw out when one becomes frustrated.

Absolutely!  After several re-installs with the store version, I paid for MSFS again by getting the Steam version.  So glad I spent the extra as zero problems since.
