But having looked all over, I still have not found the handbrake.. anyone? 😉

I haven't been able to find it. A few of my other planes are also missing the parking brake handle or are hard to find so I assigned a switch on my bravo throttles for it.

Likewise, but I use a button on my Thrustmaster TCA sidestick. Using that, you'll see the brake pedals move exactly the same as they do when you use the physical brake pedals. No levers move elsewhere.

Looks like a handbrake (rather than parking brake) is an aftermarket purchase, although that sounds more like a hand-operated alternative to toe brakes rather than a 'full braking' option.

Edit: Vans do sell an aftermarket parking brake kit.

And here's an installation of 3rd party kit.

Just looked again and found that if you click on the brake lines on the inside edges of the pedals it activates the parking brake. Hope this helps...

I found that quite by accident this past week. 🙂

I never would have found it if this post didn't make me look around. Thanks Bert!! (I have a button on my Honeycomb that I normally use for the parking brake, but this is still good to know...)

How would the parking brake work (on/off) in real life?

It is an aftermarket option only.  The standard RV14 does not have one.. see the first posts above for details.
