If it's not, start the load manager and look for the part where you can specify your community folder (sometimes it does not get detected correctly, probably again some MS store issue) For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
May 3, 20224 yr Can anyone who has both the Maddog and the PMDG DC-6 comment on how they compare performance wise on the same computer? I have not had good luck with the DC-6, and I am curious whether the MD-82 fares any better. i7-10700k, 32 gb RAM, AMD RX 5700XT Andrew Jones

The DC-6 suffers from an MSFS issue and has horrible FPS (you can workaround in dev mode, but that's another story). The Maddog is solid and gives me the same FPS as the FBW, probably even a bit better. You could download the FBW and see how it is for you, it will be about the same in the Maddog. I have the FBW, and get reasonable performance most of the time. .I was worried the DC-6 performance issue was related to the large number of analogue gauges, which the MD-82 a a fair number of as well, though fewer than the DC-6. It's an PMDG issue in the way they are drawing their gauges. If you enable Developer mode and click on NanoVG XML option, you will gain close to 15fps. https://fsprocedures.com Your home for all flight simulator related checklist.

No it has to do with PMDG's method of modelling the gauges IIRC. This only works as intended when you activate an option in dev mode, for the time being. Something with "nano vg", you can google if you are interested in learning more. Anyway tldr: No, the Maddog has nothing to do with that. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. PF keeps their eyes out of the cockpit, PM warns them when gauges start to look unhappy we simmers are a silly bunch, wanting to flick all the switches ourselves while in reality it takes at least two pilots, not to mention all the help they get from the company, to fly one for real. There should be an option to choose a role and do part of the work. A virtual instructor would be nice too. I have not had good luck with the DC-6, and I am curious whether the MD-82 fares any better. i7-10700k, 32 gb RAM, AMD RX 5700XT I and others on the LSH forums have noted that occasionally during the climb or approach phases, some (but not all) display gauges will develop a bad stutter. This is NOT an FPS loss in MSFS itself — the aircraft movement through the air, and passing scenery are still smooth, but the Nav Display and PFS start updating very slowly, and the FMS and autopilot are slow to react to key presses. Things like the altimeter gauge and airspeed gauge continue updating quickly. The problem typically resolves itself after a minute or two. May 3, 20224 yr Hello folks Quick question please ... have skimmed this topic and other but not seeing much comment on this: I really enjoyed to systems failure and persistency features with the P3D version of the Maddog ... does the MSFS version offer the same features? Thanks Ads Ads Kluczinsky
