Hello folks

Quick question please ... have skimmed this topic and other but not seeing much comment on this:

I really enjoyed to systems failure and persistency features with the P3D version of the Maddog ... does the MSFS version offer the same features?

Thanks

Failures yes, but for now persistence is not functional but is planned to be added.

The full range of random failures is available as you know it from P3D, also MEL inops. Persistency is not yet available.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Still experimenting with my mod trying to higher up and enhance existing textures.

I'm trying to come up with several different solutions, some try and die experiments, ways to sharpen the details and makes it not so weathered here and there without having to try and repaint the entire textures. Something which would take me way too much time and is something I'm not capable of (or I would not be proficient enough without it taking forever lol). Still I'm now also trying to do some touchup, repaints or even sometimes fully replace small parts where the enhancing softwares and techniques I've tried have simply not enough of a good material to enhance and work with.

For example, have a look now on the window pillars and overall frame structure for an example of a enhancing where it works best, and have a look at the braided seal I totally replaced because it was too low res to be able to be simply enhanced. I'm sure of course the braided seal I used is not accurate, but I have limited image sources that can be used on the internet, so I had to make do with this specific example. Still looks much better. I'm trying to apply the same idea here and there:

You mean for EUR75 you don't get sounds?  Maybe Leonardo will sell you the sounds that should have been with it for another EUR25.

It's quite a task to get new (and better) external sounds for a MD-82. I wouldn't even know where to find one with engines still running here in Europe. I know they still fly in Iran, but well...
Internal sounds in the VC are perfect, just as in real life (from what I've been told by real world (ex-) Maddog pilots).

Air Lubo and European Air Charter still fly the maddog in Europe. I tried finding the sound files for the MD82 but couldn't, sadly MSFS doesn't appear to work the same way in terms of sound files as P3D does, I wish it did as I would have replaced most of the sound files with TSS.

Yes it does, at least for failures.

Well folks, finally purchased the Maddog.  Early results, yes the textures kind of suck, but the plane flies beautifully, oh yeah and the outside sounds, could be a bit better.

Am i upset or disappointed, in a way I think 75.00 was a bit too steep, but hopefully with some updates things will be improved.

Overall, she's a gorgeous plane,!!!

There should be an option to choose a role and do part of the work.

A2A did this pretty well in their Constellation for FSX/P3d. You could choose to flip all the switches yourself, or you could choose to let the engineer do his stuff while you concentrated on piloting. If you used the engineer, he'd talk to you, actually flip the switches in sequence and at normal speed (unlike the "everything flips at once" control-E style). That was a really excellent addon, but unfortunately the last I heard there were no plans to bring it to MSFS.

Does the Autoland witin MSFS work with the Maddog X ?

Last flight it didn't work for me at EDDH RW23.

Could be a pilot mistake because of the first Autoand i did with this bird , so that's why i am asking.

Anyone..
