This would be pretty easy and close to capture in MSFS now, without the dramatic godray of course.

To be fair, I would probably be annoyed with mediocre performance if I had spent £2000 on a tricked up circuit board with 20 fans and some fancy neon lights

So would everybody, but bet they are enjoying the 64Gb Ram, 3080ti and 5Ghz processor.

I have a high end computer and I have never moaned about Asobo. 😎

Counterpoint:  people with high end PC's have been simmers for a long tim (up until MSFS they needed very powerful PC's to run addons etc) and understand a lot of about aviation - therefore when aviation basics are missing from a simulation they become frustrated.

Additionally, while I have not made any scientific surveys, people involved in real world aviation, would have the financial means to purchase a high end PC in hope that basics of flight were going to be simulated properly.

I haven't always had a super high end PC but I now have a high end (less the GPU which is actually quite good still!) and am rarely complaining about perf.  I do complain about basic aviation principles which occasionally don't seem to be modeled in this sim (although it is getting better).

The OP had absolutely nothing to do with any of that.........

The OP also could have remained silent and not tried to divide the forum along the lines of the haves and the have nots by speculating on what people expect out of their hardware in terms of running this sim based on anecdotal evidence and exaggerated examples .. yet here we are

I've been mostly very happy with the running the sim on my rig i saved my money when this sim was announced and spent it based on what the highest recommendations were at the time. I have since upgraded it twice .. and have properly tuned it to get what I'm looking for out of it. Some people buy high end computers off the shelf and require help to get it up and running and some people lack understanding as to what really happens to system resources when the sim is running. That's fine .. someone helpful usually steps in and help.

I just find it very disconcerting that someone would take the time to make a post painting people with high end computers as unrealistic. You don't have a high end system fine .. make do with what you have and stay in your lane. Don't be trying to stir word not allowed up. It makes the OP seem jealous and petty to be honest.

Yes thank you @Maxis

The title of this thread could have easily been: Do you tweak more or less with a high end PC or something along those lines.

The title of this post should have read 'Inflammatory' because that is all that is coming out of this entire thread. It is nothing more than an argument over nothing. I mean, wow, why can't we all just sim and peacefully coexist on here without wanting to poke a hornets nest or start a fight? We are all better then this. Let's just move on and enjoy our hobby, please 🙂

Doesn't even scratch the surface of OP's other posts referring to VR users as "religionists" and "Alcoholics Anonymous"...😬

Certainly some pretty outlandish ways of getting his point across...🤣
