Confused

Recommended Posts

Guest PowderBlue

I'm doing some reading but I hear SP1 is great and others that don't like it. I have it installed but I am confused as to what to do next Is there a tweak guidline for after SP1? Or is there a set standard of what your settings should be at for high end systems. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The short answer is no. The reason is because everyone's system (hardware, OS, drivers, etc.) is unique. Any specific "tweak" may work well for one person, while it may make things worse for others......heck, I have two virtual clones here (identical systems) and each of them require their own individual set of "tweaks" to achieve similar results.Adding further "clouding" of the matter is also that "performance" is - for the most part at least - entirely subjective. What one person perceives as "fantastic and quite acceptable" a fellow simmer might "roll his/her eyes," and think "it's horrible!" ;)I've taken the time to get my systems set up to my satisfaction, which is - in the final analysis - all that really matters. :-beerchug
