FBW VNAV in Experimental Version Question

Recommended Posts

So i'm trying to use the VNAV feature in experimental version of FBW.

Let's say I was coming into LAX using the BAYST1 arrival...

https://chartfox.org/KLAX#KLAX_57245

What do I set as my altitude and when?

I know for take off, I set my max cleared altitude and it'll hold any limitations before climbing to my set alt. But for arrival when I do start....

Watch this.

Basically do the same but watch how the Neo is doing all the time and use VS or spoilers if you feel the needed. You Set before TOD push in to get the DOT.

Unfortunately, I cannot use experimental version as it messes with my ground steering by rudder (or nosewheel).

Is there any solution ?  I would really like to use VNAV.

Dave,

The stable V8 has it.

What problems are you having with ground steering?  They added in a feature to enable a separate tiller axis, but it can be enabled/disabled via the flypad options.  If you enable it then you need to use a separate axis to control it.  I must note I have not gotten any flights in since SU9 when Asobo added an official "tiller axis" to the sim but when I asked FBW if we need to remap their "workaround" method to the new axis they told me either would work for now.

This was a bug a few days ago, pressing "Y" on the keyboard, then resuming the simulation was a workaround.
