PMDG 737-700 has been released!

Recommended Posts

Can someone give an honest comparison between PMDG and FBW as far as performance only ? And not only FPS but more main thread stutters. Thank you !

Those values still don't seem right.  I think the pax values are wrong for pax/cargo but yours and the default 175/55 (lbs) from simbrief both aren't right.  I tried your weights and before putting in the 4K lbs of cargo simbrief called for I was already at 101.8K lbs.  ZFW is supposed to be 103.9 so somewhere the weight is 2k too high.  Yes I did the kg to lbs conversion.  I also checked the weights in the aircraft cfg but pax weight is nowhere in there.  Anyone figure out correct values?

Bought it but no download link in my account or confirmation email. So web shop is still not fully operational.

Absolutely agree. I'm getting +10-15 FPS. I'm blown away by it.

Any clues on how to get a simbrief flightplan into the FMC for the Steam version?

I'm going to FLT PLAN REQUEST to enter it but PMDG 737 is greyed out and not selectable. I have a plan sitting in D:\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Community\pmdg-aircraft-737\Config\Flightplans - let me guess - wrong folder/location?

Pretty sure you've gotta put in the CO ROUTE the file name, i.e. KSFOKLAX. Don't know for sure though.

Nope, figured it out, it's at:

I got it installed after it went back up for sale.  It was certainly not the ordeal that others had earlier, but it was still far from smooth.  kept saying it had trouble sending the download pin, but the pin went to my email just fine, just wouldn't let me enter it.  it worked on the fourth try.

The authentication system they have is probably a good bit more complex than it needs to be.  I can see how it might have gotten swamped.  asking a web server to handle the challenge/response is a tough ask.  having that on the installer makes more sense for load balancing.

So is this PMDG 737 the best 737 that has been done for any sim platform?

It is smooth as butter. Only stutters I had was my initial flight out of Fly Tampa KLAS but that place has been a stutter fest since su9 for me. Everywhere else it has been just about as good as a stock plane. I don’t run around with dev mode on or an fps counter but I haven’t noticed any loss of fps. It’s stupidly smooth in performance.

I've got a couple flights under my belt now and I have to give credit to PMDG...this thing is amazing...almost as good as the Zibo😁.
