PMDG 737-700 has been released!

Recommended Posts

I asked this before but has gone unanswered both here and the PMDG forums, so I'll get it one more shot. Does anyone know if the 737-700 BBJ variant comes with more auxiliary fuel tanks?

I can't find how to change the winglets To new Split-Scimitar winglets.

I think the paints you have installed is what drives what model you fly. I don't think you can select it.

It sure does - There is a gauge that gets added to the BBJ cockpit for these tanks.

I don't believe you can change this within the FMC on the "fly" - You may need to adjust the .CFG file for the repaint you are using and see if it can be done via there.

I have to edit which line?

Thats awesome. That plane can fly up to 6,000NM, which opens up pretty much any flight route. Looking forward to finally purchasing this plane. Just trying to finally get out of the office!!

That's not the correct directory, it's the one in your Packages folder. Search for pmdg-aircraft 737 folder on your C drive, it will be inside of the Work folder.

Found that in...

C:\Users\easy_\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\packages\pmdg-aircraft-737\work\Flightplans

But still finding the flight plan in sim via the CDU.

***WHAT SHOULD THE FILE EXTENSION BE?*** MSFS is setting it to .pln but in my P3D flightplans for the 747 its a .rte extinsion

In P3D you selected the version you want to fly - no winglets, BW or SSW - from the aircraft menu in the sim. I don't have the 737 for MSFS yet but I don't see why that would have changed - it basically cannot have changed from my understanding since the SSW model is a different aircraft model. Check the sim's aircraft selection window.

Edit: There can't be a cfg-edit since that would effectively prevent many users who don't have the knowledge to use other winglets models. It would also be very unelegant.

If you are alone in the cockpit that's fine, those fuel tank seems to take a good slice of the MTOW

I've been using .rte and it works fine with the 737.

You can configure the number of aux tanks as well in the BBJ along with various other options which then immediately take effect.

Purchase/registration key/download process was flawless this morning.  All aspects of the process were instantaneous.

Excited to give her a whirl later!

Same for me. Glad I waited.

Assuming you're using Simbrief downloader?
Can you please define the steps in FMC that you're trying to invoke the flight plan with?

I thought so too but simbrief downloads (with simbrief downloader) it as a .pln format and if I rename the extension to .rte the MSFS 737 CDU FMC returns with error "invalid rte file", the full file name is "KATLCYYZ_MFS_10May22.rte"
