"Warning Horn - Wife angry" that's a great title for a thread!

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Hmmm Steve, but you don't really do that at 7.000 ft!? 😉

luckily he did not chose something like "Warning- horny wife angry" even though that may be the case in some household now with pilots spending more time with the 737 than their wifes 😉

As noted in a previous post - the SOP is 'Gear Down - Flap 15' then bug the 15 speed; no more gear warning horn.

get rid of the wife and buy a full cockpit setup

Even better, make a full cockpit and add a galley. Then tell her: 'that's your bit.' 🤣

Why not, if the runway is at 6.500 ft!? 😛

PSA - guys, if you like your wife and want to keep her,  please don't take advice from Chock (or me).

i9-10850K, ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI), 32GB G.SKILL DDR4-3603 / PC4-28800, GIGABYTE RTX5080 16GB WF OC 3 FAN running 3440x1440

Regarding the warning horns: On my 4 hours of testing so far, I was quite surprised to hear various warning sounds without further indication of what's going on. Yes, for some of them an anunciator light tells me what's going on or I get a message on the PFD, still I've experienced several situation with no additional information whatsoever.

Coming from the A320 (FBW) and CRJ (Aerosoft), this seems pretty weird to me. They both show some textual reminder for any type of unusual behaviour, especially for the alarms. Makes it easier to see what's going on, and it's easier to google for than a warning sound 😅

This isn't a complaint about PMDG - I'm just surprised about the way the 737 handles this. But that's what makes it interesting to learn new aircraft, understand their different design philosophies and learn to master them.

Now it all makes sense. My wife bought me a new computer and is always saying, why don't you go flying.
