FSHud - Air Traffic Control MSFS Beta

Featured Replies

I did get it

Fshud is only using the AIG liverys. But with the TC, for me the AI aircraft are using the right runway.

So i wonder why the TC is able to do that.

TC uses MSFS default traffic control - that doesn't contains flights by procedures and traffic separation that lately causes many "go around" and formation flying in circles around airport - mostly it's the same like if you will use default ATC.
TC only tells to default MSFS engine what aircraft to add (including flight plan) but on the low level MSFS controls it.
The FSHud controls AI traffic on low level, not just by telling to default ATC engine what aircrafts to inject

I am very interested to try this due to the ability to control AIG traffic, but I play exclusively in VR.  I see from the FAQ that this is not really a supported combination, are there any plans to improve this or suggested workarounds please?

Er... you mean to say ATC has no knowledge of the weather but I can still fly with MSFS real live weather and use (program) the appropriate runways Simbrief comes up with? FSHud will use them too?

Yeah missing VR integration is a dealbreaker. Should be pretty simply though, since you just need to implement the window the same way Navigraph did.

FSHud is tolerant for departure/arrival runways, you can select any runway for departure and for arrival you can select any runway/STAR/GATE at TOD point

Hello,
It means that all weather would be CAVOK with no winds - because there is no way to pull weather data from MSFS.
ActiveSky is not mandatory but "workaround" for that, it can be turned off.
If there is no wind, runways in use would be assigned by other priorities - distance to parking, length, traffic load factor and so on.
However - you can override departure and arrival settings.
Those things are mentioned and explained in our FAQ and manuals pages

If you include ActiveSky as a workaround option for choosing the correct weather data - why you do not use at least a MSFS compatible addon? How about REX Weather Force 2020?
Or is it not possible to read data from this addon?

So I as the user can select correct departure and arrival runways  for myself, but the ATC might direct AI traffic to use other runways since it's not aware of the weather?  Or can the user dictate which runways are active for everyone so that ATC uses only those?

I've seen the video posted earlier and I'm super excited for this addon. As for the weather bug, is there any way you can make a temporary fix by pulling weather from official sources, simbrief, or otherwise? Most people will use LIVE weather and times, which means the most recent METAR data should suffice for FSHud to work with in the absence of MSFS weather data.

Also, for those of us with stronger PC's, an ability to update the AI refresh rate from 1 FPS to maybe 4 FPS might make it a bit less jarring. Personally, I'd buy this product with just those two temporary work-arounds, until the actual fixes are available.

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

Good idea if it can be implemented.

REX Weather Force 2020 has the ability to export a data file the that other 3rd party products can use. I use it to import weather in to P2ATC.

Had a better look at it and it does look promising but the MSFS version has too many things lacking. I need to see at least one good video of this add on with the Fenix in MSFS before even thinking about buying it.

How does FSHud calculate the TOD? Did I see it right you have to program all altitudes yourself? Send this adf on to 320 Sim Pilot, please, and let him play with it: then it would really get my attention. 😉

EDIT BTW Is there an option to tune the radio's yourself?

There are way too many unanswered questions here. Why is it not distributed out to YouTubers and streamers? No matter what people think about that we will at least get a look at how it actually works and performs in MSFS.

So, second attempt with FSHUD, and taking a bit more notice of AI traffic behavior. I still can't get used to the 1 second traffic updates, and the traffic gltiching severely when taxiing.

This time I'm not running AIG Traffic Controller (I previously assumed this was still needed) and letting FSHUD manage the traffic.

Traffic is landing and departing in the wrong wind direction because FSHUD can't read the weather.

I do own Active Sky from my P3D days, but I can't intall it because I no longer have P3D installed! I'm not going to reinstall P3D just for this workaround!

Out of curiousity how does https://www.lekseecon.nl/ do it? I have seen videos of their live traffic injection and traffic jumping doesn't happen for them
