October 2, 20223 yr The point is we have too many of these tiny vlbj poodle jumpers. I mean, the HJet is a nice plane, but load it up with cargo and passengers, and how far can you really go? Might as well take Amtrak. What's needed are bizjets that can go cross- oder intercontinental. I mean, MSFS 2020 has been out 2 years, and the only long range biz jet remains the Longitude - and that has its own shortcomings, like no cabin, no decent animations outside, etc. G3000 not quite there yet. X-Plane has the Hotstart Challenger 650. I wish a company would produce something similar for MSFS 2020. I don't get it, commercially it's the most successful simulator ever. Surely, there is a large enough market available.

However, we actually do have one, although many discount it because its more commonly thought of as a commercial airliner. If I were in the position to own a very large bizjet in the real world and had a Gulfstream, Bombardier, ABJ and BBJ, etc to choose from, I'd take the BBJ every day of the week and 3 times on Sunday. The others are cool no doubt, but if you're that rich, another few million here or there for a BBJ is nothing and it blows away all the others in the things that actually matter in the real world. So we have ONE high fidelity large business jet in MSFS, but I agree we need the GS' and Bombarier's to make an appearance. Luckily for me I couldn't care less about the cabin or outside animations, but the current Longitude is no real use for me - waiting eagerly for the refresh. You did however miss off the BBJ which has as long a range as you could ever want and is superb - just a little bit too much of an airliner for me. Would be great to see a proper long range one though. Perhaps someone will run with it once WT has their refresh up and SDK for it done... or even better MS decide to do one in one of their updates. I couldn't care less and would rather love to see the already existing (and promising) Citation Longitude get a flight model and study-level systems depth overhaul. This bird can get you anywhere with its 3.500nm range and ample cruise speed. Or brush up the already existing CJ4 which is also decent as a starting point. Personally, not too interested in flying the low-speed, low-range Citations, no matter how good they're done in the sim. If only MSFS had a Challenger 650 as good as the one for X-Plane ... Perhaps you missed what was in the AAU1 sim update? The Longitude has received both of those things. 🙂
July 12, 20232 yr I think a modelled cabin is more important for a Bizjet than most other aircraft - why simulate flying these luxurious machines without being able to go back and simulate chilling out! I agree we need something spectacular to do the sim justice, the most promising Biz on any platform currently is the Falcon on XP - long range, study level, but still seemingly mostly vapourware BBJ will have to do for now
July 12, 20232 yr Sad that gulfstreams aren’t possible as the company will issue a legal C&D faster than Disney, but it would be really nice to have a long range Falcon 10X or globaljet

July 12, 20232 yr FSW is also bringing their Lear 35 into MSFS 🙂 I nabbed this very early WIP shot from their discord (Oh also their Falcon 50 - though the analog panel could use some more love - I'd like to at least see a FMS or avionics retrofit) FSWlj35 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Edited July 12, 20232 yr by ryanbatc | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

July 12, 20232 yr I’ve been simming since the days of SubLogics ATP, FS95 and 98, was in my twenties when the internet became a thing. From my very earlier days on Avsim and others the Bizjets have always been overlooked for yet another 737 or A320 when it came to designers. A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools. - Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

The BBJ is not an option, because the textures look terrible. The Cirrus Vision Jet, the Honda Jet, or the Cessna Chancellor have shown that you can have both systems depth and beautiful animations and textures, a nicely detailed cabin, etc.
